Once envisioned as a bright renewal project, New Brick was the government’s failed attempt to rebuild the floodlines into something modern. 
What’s left is a district slowly sinking — a place where the poor work, crime breathes freely, and the lights flicker against the rot of forgotten promises. 
An off-duty detective wanders these streets each night, drawn back to the place he once called home — still searching for the one he lost to the city long ago.
